About Liquid Snake

Liquid Snake is the main antagonists of Metal Gear Solid 1, and a main character in the whole Metal Gear Solid serie. He is a son of Big Boss, more exactly a clone created from his genes, twin of Solid Snake. He received the dominant genes of Big Boss while Solid got the recessives one, nevertheless Liquid was at first convinced of the contrary. His mind is the one of a revolutionary, hating to be controlled by others.

After his death, his mind will take control of Revolver Ocelot, creating the being known as Liquid Ocelot in the course of the second Metal Gear Solid. Ocelot supposdedly took rid of Liquid and only faked being controlled by him in the fourth installment, although some elements hints to Liquid's soul still being present in th Metal Gear universe.

Early Life

Liquid was born through "Les Enfants Terribles" project, made to create clones of Big Boss. He was raised in the UK shortly after birth and was the youngest person to serve in the Special Air Service, at the age of 18. During the Gulf War in Iraq, he was assigned to a Special Air Service unit to track down and destroy mobile Scud missiles. In truth, he infiltrated the Middle East as a sleeper agent for the British SIS, but was taken prisoner by Iraqi forces and held captive as a prisoner of war until 1994, when he was rescued by the U.S. Government. Liquid Snake joined FOXHOUND in the year 2000, after Solid Snake and Colonel Campbell had already retired from the unit. After Liquid joined, he became the Field Commander of FOXHOUND.
